Two Charged Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
